Job Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Cape Town. As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the design, construction, and management of various civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
• Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and ensure adherence to project specifications
• Determine and ensure quality of procedures and products
• Perform calculations and analysis to support engineering design
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues
• Monthly measurements and data reports for progress statements to supervisors
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in civil engineering

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or and equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician/ in the civil industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software is beneficial
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license
