About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our team at SD Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Century City, Cape Town. As a Clinical Facilitator, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment, vetting, induction, orientation, and follow-up evaluation services for our allocated client clinical facilities and clinical staff. You will also coordinate the work of external contracted clinical facilitators and conduct relevant administrative activities related to all clinical facilitation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide, administer, and facilitate clinical assessment, vetting, induction, orientation, and follow-up evaluation services for all allocated client clinical facilities and clinical staff.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and support the work of external contracted clinical facilitators.
- Conduct relevant administrative activities related to all clinical facilitation activities.
- Establish and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure the growth of the business through the quality of services offered.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards required in nursing practice and within clinical settings.
- Assist with reviewing, updating, and implementing relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to nursing practice.
- Assist and provide relevant support to the recruitment and compliance teams with processing nursing candidate registration applications.
- Conduct interviews with new nursing candidates where required.
- Investigate and report on all reported incidents involving our clinical staff placed at our client facilities.
- Keep abreast of Nursing Industry movements and changes, including Qualifications and Standards which impact nursing practice.
- Ensure adherence to all client facilities policies and procedures related to nursing practice.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to clinical facilitation and nursing practice at client facilities.
- Assist with the designing, developing, and distribution of course material, lesson plans, and curricula for facilitation and other teaching interventions.
- Conduct and facilitate vetting, assessment, induction, on-site orientation, and on-site follow-up evaluation of each nursing candidate.
- Provide one-on-one support, training, and mentoring of nurses in a clinical setting.
- Provide ongoing encouragement, guidance, and support to nurses in continuing professional development.
- Perform other training and facilitation functions as needed.
- Conduct, administer, and assess formative and summative assessments of the candidates as required.
- Report on each candidate’s assessment outcomes.
- Compile and provide relevant reports related to all clinical facilitation activities (e.g., vetting, assessment, induction, on-site orientation, on-site follow-up evaluation, and clinical incidents) for record keeping and processing.
- Regularly conduct client site visits and engage with client representatives to obtain feedback regarding SD Recruitment’s performance and its staff’s performance.
Requirements
- Relevant Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
- Registration with SANC as a professional nurse.
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Clinical Facilitation/Training of Nurses.
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of scope of practice of all nursing categories as well as the regulations of SANC.
- Recommended: Nursing Education and/or assessor qualifications.
- Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.).
- Excellent Facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised.
- Problem Solving Skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have driver’s license with own vehicle.
- Must be bilingual (English, Afrikaans, and one of the official African Languages).
