About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town, where you will be responsible for providing financial insights and advice to facilitate best business decisions for our company. As a key member of our finance division, you will report into the Finance Director and work closely with various stakeholders to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage finance team members, providing guidance and training.
- Review business budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare BBBEE schedules and scorecard on a monthly basis.
- Ensure finance team completes monthly/quarterly deliverables in line with Group deadlines.
- Review and approve monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials.
- Prepare and review financial reports for monthly management meetings.
- Review weekly cash flow forecasts and evaluate and investigate variances.
- Prepare annual tax return schedules and tax calculations.
- Review and approve statutory returns (example SARB returns and Stats SA).
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager with minimum 6-8 years of experience in a similar role, leading a team.
- Consolidations knowledge
- IFRS experience
- Tax & VAT expertise
- SAP experience beneficial
