About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Director to join our ultra-luxurious 5* hotel in Cape Town. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences across all F&B outlets, driving revenue growth, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and forecast revenues and costs for the department
- Staff and schedule associates to maximize productivity and minimize payroll costs
- Create a work environment that fosters high employee morale and provides continuous learning and development opportunities
- Develop systems and procedures to achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Manage and lead associates to ensure maximum productivity
- Oversee outlet managers and supervisors with day-to-day running of their departments
- Conduct regular meetings with outlet managers and supervisors, monitor guest concerns, compliments, and suggestions
- Organize food festivals and develop guest loyalty and retention programs
- Compile and review monthly profit and loss statements for various outlets and assist in implementing approved budgets
Requirements
- Graduates from reputed hotel management schools (desirable)
- Graduates with experience in hotels or hospitality sector 1 to 2 years in similar position (desirable)
- Directly Reports To the General Manager
- Key Customers: Immediate team, managers and associates from support departments, internal and external guests
Qualifications
- Graduates from reputed hotel management schools (Bachelor’s degree, diploma, etc.)
- Experience in luxury hotels
- Knowledge of other hotel services
- Knowledge about Food and Beverage services including cuisines, menus, accompaniments, wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, tobacco, teas, coffees, other non-alcoholic beverages
