Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Foreman to oversee construction activities on-site and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project programmes and quality standards. The role involves supervising labour, coordinating subcontractors and trades, managing plant and materials, and supporting day-to-day site operations while working closely with site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities across multiple trades on-site
- Manage labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials within allocated work areas
- Implement construction programmes and monitor progress against deadlines
- Assist with setting out, levelling, and interpretation of construction drawings
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Oversee plant, equipment, and material usage on-site
- Support implementation and compliance of SHEQ standards and safety procedures
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained across site operations
- Conduct daily site inspections and monitor safe working practices
- Support adherence to safety and health legislation and company procedures
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and site administration documentation
- Assist with identifying and resolving site-related issues and delays
- Coordinate activities between site teams, subcontractors, and management
- Supervise site staff and support basic industrial relations processes
- Drive productivity and maintain operational efficiency on-site
Requirements
- Trade Certificate, Diploma, or RPL qualification
- Minimum 10 years related experience within the construction or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of construction processes and applicable trades
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience with setting out and levelling advantageous
- Knowledge of materials, plant, equipment, and site administration systems
- Strong staff supervision and leadership capability
- Understanding of safety requirements and health & safety legislation
