About the Role
A well-established retirement village in Somerset West is looking for a motivated HR Intern to join their team. This internship offers a great opportunity for a recent HR graduate or student to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare and retirement environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with HR administration including employee files, contracts, and onboarding documentation
- Support the recruitment process (posting ads, screening CVs, scheduling interviews)
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation
- Maintain and update HR databases and employee records
- Help coordinate training and development programs
- Support HR reporting and compliance documentation
- Assist with staff engagement initiatives and events
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Recently graduated or currently completing HR qualification
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
