Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the import airfreight operations, including receiving, routing, and dispatching shipments
- Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Provide guidance and support to the import airfreight team, including training, performance evaluations, and scheduling
- Monitor and analyze import airfreight processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements, including customs clearance procedures
- Maintain accurate records of import airfreight shipments and prepare reports for management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant International Trade (Import Air) and freight forwarding experience
- Dangerous Goods awareness
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and airfreight documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
