Cape Town: Import Airfreight Supervisor posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Import Airfreight Supervisor to join their team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding logistics and a thorough understanding of import airfreight operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the import airfreight operations, including receiving, routing, and dispatching shipments
• Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
• Provide guidance and support to the import airfreight team, including training, performance evaluations, and scheduling
• Monitor and analyze import airfreight processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements, including customs clearance procedures
• Maintain accurate records of import airfreight shipments and prepare reports for management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant International Trade  (Import Air) and freight forwarding experience
• Dangerous Goods awareness
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and airfreight documentation requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
