Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and transportation, to ensure timely delivery of goods as per customer requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to gather necessary information for effective logistics planning and execution.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, transporters, and custom officials, to arrange transportation and resolve any logistics-related issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including shipping manifests, bills of lading, and customs forms, are prepared and filed in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and inventory audits, to maintain optimum inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
- Optimize transport routes and modes based on cost, time, and customer preferences.
- Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, such as on-time delivery, order fill rate, and transportation costs, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously evaluate and negotiate with transportation providers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality service.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in logistics operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in logistics and propose innovative solutions to enhance the organization’s logistics capabilities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the logistics industry.
- Proven knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation management, warehousing, inventory management, and customs regulations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve logistics-related issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
