About the Role
An established and growing construction operation is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple residential and commercial construction projects in Malawi.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple residential and commercial construction projects
- Full ownership of project programmes, schedules, and milestones
- Budget management, cost control, procurement planning, and cashflow oversight
- Management of contracts, variations, claims, and subcontractor performance
- Coordination and leadership of Site Managers, consultants, contractors, and specialist teams
- Liaison with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and statutory authorities
- Ensuring full compliance with local statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and quality requirements
- Preparation of detailed progress reports and direct reporting to Directors
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation across projects
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, delivery timelines, and financial discipline
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Project Management
- Minimum 10 years proven experience delivering residential and/or commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong financial, contractual, and commercial management capability
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to operate autonomously with clear decision-making authority
- Prior experience working outside South Africa or elsewhere in Africa is highly advantageous

Salary & Benefits
Salary (Net): ZAR 65,000 – 75,000 per month (Negotiable)
Initial 2-Year Contract, renewable based on performance and project pipeline
