About the Role
We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead a fast-paced supply chain team in the meat processing and cold storage industry in Cape Town. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, transportation logistics, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations across warehousing, dispatch, and transportation.
- Oversee inventory control, audits, and demand forecasting.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and transport regulations (local and international).
- Monitor logistics KPIs and drive cost savings and process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics staff, drivers, and coordinators.
- Implement and manage logistics systems (WMS/TMS/ERP) to optimize efficiency.
- Support customer service delivery through effective logistics execution.
Requirements
- 57 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in logistics software, inventory systems, and route optimization tools.
- In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing or cold storage logistics is advantageous.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between sites as required.
