About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Night Shift Supervisor to oversee all production and operational activities during night hours at a concrete manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of industrial processes, and the ability to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise night shift production, ensuring output meets quality and quantity targets
- Monitor staff performance, enforce discipline, and ensure adherence to shift schedules
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift handovers with clear reporting
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate where necessary
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Record production data, downtime, and incidents accurately
- Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams for timely loading and delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (concrete or construction materials preferred)
- Strong understanding of production workflows, safety protocols, and team management
- Ability to lead and motivate teams during night operations
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a factory setting
- Willingness to work night shifts on a rotational or fixed basis
- Matric required; technical or supervisory training advantageous
