Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client, who is a leading package manufacturing company in the Western Cape and is seeking a motivated and experienced operations supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

Supervision of warehouse and distribution staff
Ensure all orders are picked, invoiced and loaded
Ensure all orders are put into routes and route sheets are generated
Ensure all invoices for the log sheet are in order and invoiced for loading
Loading of delivery vehicles and ensuring stock is accurately accounted for
Assist with walk-in customer orders
Assist with receiving stock and stock is physically balanced against the invoice
Ensure received stock is packed away and WMS is kept up to date
Assist with stock take
Assist customers telephonically about the status of deliveries and drivers are tracked and monitored
Liaise with drivers and assistants with regard to daily deliveries to customers
Check-in and liaise with the receiving clerk with regard to stock returns
Check vehicle condition daily with drivers and ensure the fleet is maintained

Requirements:

Grade 12 (NQF 4) minimum
Valid Drivers license
Good supervisory and organizing skills
Good people handling skills
Excellent communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
A high level of numeracy
Computer literate and able to work on Excel, Syspro, or other vehicle monitoring systems
Good decision making ability
The ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basis
Be able to work overtime and open and close operations site
