Job Description
The Private Equity Analyst will be responsible for deal origination, deal analysis and the assessment of investment opportunities. You will also be responsible to negotiate, structure, conclude and manage private equity transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Generating investment thesis/ideas emanating from market developments, sector information and/or company developments.
- Participating in negotiations of new investments with support of experienced team members on behalf of the company
- Preparing and presenting of Investment reports on new and existing portfolio investments for submission to the Investment Committee
- Providing financial evaluation of project investment opportunities
- Reviewing and negotiating transaction legal documents
- Post investment monitoring of new/existing investments
Requirements:
- CA(SA) or CFA Designation
- Strong academic credentials B Bus Science or similar
- Strong commercial focus with a passion for investments
- Previous unlisted deal transaction experience
- A good knowledge of PE and the ability to apply your skills creatively to diverse investment opportunities
