Job Description
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the full production function
- Driving production plans, schedules, and output targets
- Overseeing labour, machinery, material flow, and batch control
- Reducing downtime, waste, rejects, and overruns
- Monitoring plant performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring quality standards, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Coordinating with other departments to improve overall workflow
- Reporting on production metrics, challenges, and performance trends
People leadership will be a big part of this role:
- Managing foremen, team leaders, shift leaders, and operators
- Driving accountability, productivity, and team development
- Identifying training needs and supporting performance management
- Ensuring adherence to health, safety, housekeeping, and company procedures
- Handling workforce discipline and day-to-day staff management
What we’re looking for:
- 5–7 years’ experience in a senior production / manufacturing leadership role
- Proven track record of meeting production targets
- Strong experience in quality, planning, cost control, and team management
- Qualification in Production / Operations / Mechanical / Business Management (or similar)
- Strong understanding of:
- Production planning & control
- Lean manufacturing
- QMS / quality systems
- SHEQ compliance
- ERP / MRP systems
- Labour legislation and staff management
