About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Property General Manager to join our client’s premium short-term rental accommodation in Cape Town’s CBD. As the on-site leader, you will be responsible for setting the tone for the guest experience, owner relationships, and operational standards. If you have a proven track record of managing large residential or serviced apartment operations and possess commercial awareness, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Full day-to-day general management of a premium serviced apartment building in Cape Town’s CBD
- Investor and owner partner relationship management, including onboarding new clients into the management portfolio
- Oversight of all short-term letting operations; reservations, guest check-ins/check-outs, platform management, and occupancy optimisation
- Leading and managing the on-site team: Concierge and Housekeeping staff
- Maintaining immaculate presentation standards across all units and communal spaces; pool deck, lobbies, and shared facilities
- Proactive maintenance coordination, ensuring every unit is guest-ready, every fault is logged and resolved promptly
- Monthly owner reporting occupancy, revenue performance, maintenance activity, and expense tracking
- Guest and investor communication handling enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and urgency
- Upholding brand standards and service philosophy across every touchpoint
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in property management, serviced apartments, or short-term letting operations
- Large-scale or multi-unit experience is essential
- At least 3 years in a General Manager or senior management role with full operational accountability
- Demonstrated experience managing investor/owner client relationships and onboarding new clients into a management portfolio
- A genuine, non-negotiable eye for detail, from a scuff on a wall to a poorly made bed
