About the Role
A leading retailer in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Accountant with a focus on Rebates to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the rebates department, ensuring that all contractual agreements are adhered to and processed accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep an eye on the Trial Balance for each trading account on the DC.
- Monitor and protect all contracts and agreements with vendors.
- Carry out month-end procedures to ensure refund general ledger accounts are categorized and accounted for correctly at the end of the month.
- Take care of vendor accounts for customers with unpaid balances.
- Verify the new vendor bundle against internal standards procedures.
- Answer ad hoc questions from internal and external auditors during financial reporting.
- Generate yearly data for the Trading Term Template to be used in Trade Term Talks negotiations.
- Assure timely and accurate processing of contractual billing, keeping track of all processed contractual billings.
