The Role The President Hotel is seeking a warm, professional, and detail-oriented Receptionist with Opera PMS experience to join its Front Office team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. As the first and last impression of the hotel, you will ensure seamless arrivals, departures, and lobby interactions while upholding elevated service standards. Minimum Requirements Valid South African ID Minimum 3 years hotel reception experience in medium or large hotel properties Opera PMS experience (essential) Strong communication skills – well spoken, clear, and professional Presentable with excellent grooming standards Computer literate (Opera PMS and Microsoft Office) Updated CV must be submitted Skills and Attributes Guest-Focused Attitude: Warm, engaging, and professional Attention to Detail: Accuracy in billing, reservations, and administration Time Management: Efficient multitasking in a fast-paced environment Team Player: Strong communication, cooperation, and handover ability Key Responsibilities Guest Engagement & Service Excellence: Welcome guests with warmth, proactively engage in the lobby, escort VIPs, and personalise every interaction Arrivals & Departures: Manage check-ins and check-outs, ensure billing accuracy, and coordinate luggage assistance Daily Operations: Handle emails, reports, credit checks, loyalty enrolments, adjustments, postings, and maintain an organised reception area Team Communication: Attend briefings, provide clear updates, liaise with Housekeeping and Porters, and ensure accurate shift handovers Shift Protocols: Follow break schedules, complete checklists, and hand over pending matters to ensure smooth operations Why Join the President Hotel Team Here; service is more than a task, its about connection.
