About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager (Integration) to lead the architecture, design, and development of the backend and integration services powering our mobile app ecosystem. As a key part of our transformation into a Social Wellness Club, you will play a critical role in consolidating our core member engagement platform under a central team. This team will own a unified codebase, enabling faster, more consistent feature rollouts across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through coaching, feedback, performance management, and regular 1:1s to support career development and professional growth.
- Foster a healthy, inclusive engineering culture based on trust, transparency, and collaboration.
- Partner with recruiting to identify and hire exceptional talent.
- Make strategic technical and resourcing decisions, balancing delivery priorities with long-term team health.
- Own the architecture, design, and delivery of the backend integration platform powering mobile apps and related services.
- Contribute hands-on when needed to design integration flows, API orchestration, and scalable event processing.
- Solve complex integration challenges using C#, .NET, Azure, Function Apps, and API/event-driven patterns.
- Guide engineering standards for code quality, system reliability, security, and observability.
- Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery timelines, managing cross-team dependencies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Managers, and Designers to align technical priorities with business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in formal people or tech leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing and growing engineering teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Azure, Function Apps, and event-driven / API integration patterns.
- Experience designing, building, and scaling integration platforms or backend services supporting mobile and web products.
