About the Role
RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimising production schedules, coordinating supply chain activities, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production plans, ensuring timely and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to align resources and schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for production requirements.
- Analyse production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
- Forecast demand and adjust planning strategies to meet changing business needs.
- Prepare reports on production performance, utilisation, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Production Management.
- Proven experience in production planning or operational management, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production planning software.
