About the Role
As a Shipping Controller at Cape Union Mart International Ltd, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating all import and export shipping activities. Your primary responsibility is to ensure goods move efficiently and cost-effectively across international borders, while maintaining compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate documentation and tariff application
- Managing relationships with freight service providers
- Reconciling costings and payments
- Keeping systems up to date
- Supporting operational continuity through reliable inbound logistics
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Preferred: Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade
- Advantageous: Training in Incoterms, Customs, Import/Export Regulations
