About the Role
The Sales Manager position at our Luxury Hotel in Cape Town is a crucial role that drives maximum revenue contributions from all producing segments through various sources. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating marketing and promotional activities to ensure the hotel’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and forecast hotel revenue for rooms, F&B outlets, and various segments
- Create a work environment that is high in employee morale and provides constant learning & development
- Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Manage the staff in the department and conduct recruitment and performance appraisal/management
- Assist in developing the annual plan using the TBEM framework, linking department objectives to the unit’s overall strategy
- Prepare appropriate forecasting tools and strategies to visualize market scenarios and develop long-range plans
- Build an accurate and effective database of current and potential guests/accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on competitors’ performance, sales & marketing strategy, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years sales experience in the travel/tourism/hotel industry
- Grade 12 Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Hotel Management
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for day-to-day travel/appointments
