SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

Responsibilities:

• Accurate measurement and scoping of building to create drawings to the specifications and requirements of the company and franchisor.

• A creative and innovative approach to design, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

• Ensure drawings/plans are compliant with National Building Regulations SANS and other statutory construction requirements in respect of retail premises.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Manage and submit constructions & signage drawing for council approval nationally, liaising with stake holders in the approval process, and obtaining occupation certificates as end result.
• Solid experience with local authority submissions.
• Research all relevant information that might impact on the development of the site (e.g. restrictions and regulations).
• Manage Project Administration.

Requirements for position:

• Bachelors degree or similar tertiary qualification in Architecture and SACAP registered.
• 7-10 years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist in a retail/QSR environment.
• Proficient with REVIT LT.
• Highly organized, deadline driven and accurate.
• Project Administration and Management Skills
• Excellent Written and Communication Skills
• Knowledge of latest Council legislation, policies & procedures.
• Demonstrate advanced understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior architecture with the ability to develop interior design element components.
• Required to manage multiple projects through all phases from proposal through to construction.
• Strong abilities in drawing up costings, schedules, and other project documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for projects.
