Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant (CA)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Job Type: Full-Time
A reputable firm based in Cape Town is seeking a qualified Senior Financial Accountant (CA) to join their team. The candidate needs to have 3+ years post-articles experience to join our finance team and will be responsible for financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our group of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Manage cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
- Oversee VAT, income tax, and other statutory submissions
- Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Contribute to systems improvement and process optimisation
- Assist with project finance, funding drawdowns, and cost tracking
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified CA(SA) with 3+ years post-articles experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, tax, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver in high-pressure environments
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, etc.)
- Experience in property, real estate, or project accounting a strong advantage
- Familiarity with Xero, Sage Evolution, or similar ERP systems preferred
