Job Description
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and presentation
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage store staff
- Lead, motivate, and discipline team members where required
- Conduct performance management and staff development
- Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally
- Build strong relationships with regular customers
- Uphold a positive, welcoming store atmosphere
- Manage stock ordering, receiving, and stock control
- Minimise waste and control costs
- Assist with cash-ups, daily reporting, and basic financial controls
- Work within set budgets and operational targets
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
- Ensure systems and procedures are followed consistently
- Communicate effectively with head office and suppliers
Core Criteria:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a café, restaurant, or retail food environment
- Proven experience in a store or restaurant management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service ability
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy (POS systems, email, basic admin)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
