Join a manufacturing team as a Health and Safety Officer in the Western Cape! In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of Health and Safety systems across all sites, conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You will be instrumental in developing safe work procedures, maintaining safety documentation, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation. Ensuring safe operations and regulatory compliance, you will also investigate incidents, coordinate contractor safety, provide HSE training, and support emergency preparedness initiatives. Your expertise in safety systems, legislation, and incident prevention will be essential in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. To succeed in this role, you should have 2-3 years of relevant experience, SAMTRAC and HIRA certifications, and experience in incident investigations. ISO 45001 knowledge, as well as exposure to FMCG or food manufacturing, will be advantageous. Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills will also be valuable.
