About the Role
Elchemie is seeking a skilled Centurion: Bookkeeper to join our team in Centurion. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. If you have a passion for bookkeeping and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping function from source documents to Trial Balance
- Daily processing and capturing of financial transactions on Pastel
- General ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly Trial Balance
- Assist with year-end audit preparation
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Accounting / Bookkeeping (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)
- Minimum 3–5 years bookkeeping experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper / Pastel Operator
- Strong working knowledge of Pastel Accounting (Sage Pastel)
- Experience processing up to Trial Balance
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Strong reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
