and manage releases of solutions, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations between technologies that assist the software development team and that meet their customers needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, will work with developers, Operations and Analysts to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new development tools and infrastructure.
- Understand stakeholder needs and effectively communicate them to development teams.
- Identify and implement strategies to automate and improve development, testing, and release processes.
- Support testing analysts by examining code and analyzing test results.
- Ensure the security and safety of systems against cybersecurity threats.
- Identify technical problems and develop solutions through software updates, fixes, or the integration of new technologies.
- Collaborate with software developers and Operations specialists to ensure adherence to established development processes and intended functionality.
- Participate in project planning and contribute to project management decisions.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field (Advantageous).
- Experience deploying updates and fixes, and providing Level 2 technical support.
- Proven ability to build tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience.
- Experience developing software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
- Proficient in performing root cause analysis of production errors and resolving technical issues.
- Experience developing scripts to automate visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience with source control systems such as Bitbucket, Git, or GitHub.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and JUnit.
- Excellent experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent experience with Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- Collaborative team spirit.
