About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Centurion to join our inventory control team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records across all inventory systems, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records across all inventory systems.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and full stock takes.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, variances, and negative stock positions.
- Reconcile physical stock against system records and post approved adjustments.
- Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, supplier invoices, and goods received notes.
- Ensure correct binning, labeling, and put-away of stock.
- Validate picking, packing, and dispatch quantities to reduce short-ships and over-issues.
- Monitor returns, quarantine, and damaged stock processes.
- Replenishment and Forecast Support:
- Monitor reorder levels, minimum/maximum thresholds, and lead times.
- Generate replenishment recommendations for fast-moving and critical items.
- Work closely with procurement and sales teams to prevent stock-outs and overstocks.
- Track aging, slow-moving, and obsolete stock and support clearance plans.
Requirements
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
- Matric.
- Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or related field (advantageous).
- Experience in distribution, wholesale, or technical product environments (advantageous).
