About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a reliable and skilled Systems Engineer to support, maintain, and optimise their core infrastructure in a business-critical IT environment. As a key member of the team, you will work hand-in-hand with enterprise systems, expanding your technical depth and contributing to high-impact operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain UNIX and Solaris operating systems, including patching, updates, and system monitoring
- Administer and configure Connect:Direct (NDM) environments for secure file transfer operations
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning
- Manage user access, roles, permissions, and compliance with security policies
- Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure system availability
- Maintain technical documentation and produce operational reports
Requirements
- Relevant IT qualification
- UNIX / Solaris certification (minimum requirement)
- 5–10 years’ experience in a Systems Engineer or Systems Administration role
- Handson experience in UNIX and Solaris environments
- Proven experience with Connect:Direct or similar file transfer technologies
- Experience working in enterprise or production environments
