About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng on a project-based contract. As a Centurion: Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and customizing WordPress sites using themes and plugins, creating or modifying themes and plugins, and ensuring site maintenance for security and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development: Building and customizing WordPress sites using themes and plugins.
Theme/Plugin Development: Creating or modifying themes and plugins.
Site Maintenance: Regular updates for security and performance.
Troubleshooting: Fixing functionality and security issues.
SEO Optimization: Enhancing site visibility in search engines.
Responsive Design: Ensuring sites are mobile-friendly.
Performance Optimization: Improving site speed and efficiency.
Collaboration: Working with designers and content creators.
Client Support: Training clients on site management.
Security Practices: Implementing measures to protect against vulnerabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
2+ years of experience in web development
Extensive WordPress experience
Strong understanding of responsive design and web accessibility
