Job Description
A well-established automotive organisation is seeking two experienced Diesel Technicians to join their workshop team based in Pinetown, Durban.

Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Qualified Diesel Trade Test
- Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial workshop environment
- Code 14 drivers licence with valid PDP
- Strong technical and mechanical expertise
- Physically fit and able to perform hands-on work
- Ability to read and write in English
Responsibilities:
- Support the Workshop Foreman and maintain strong internal relationships
- Perform all technical tasks to required quality and manufacturer standards
- Accurately record hours worked, parts, lubricants, and consumables on job cards
- Ensure compliance with workshop systems, processes, and procedures
- Build strong relationships with parts department staff
- Participate in training and continuous development initiatives
- Attend breakdowns and work overtime as required (roster-based)
- Maintain professional conduct and customer service at all times
- Ensure correct use of PPE and maintain a clean, presentable work environment
- Comply with all road traffic laws when operating company vehicles
- Support and mentor apprentices, ensuring proper skills transfer
- Complete all apprenticeship documentation and logbooks accurately
- Ensure all work meets required technical and warranty standards (3 Cs: Complaint, Cause, Correction)
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets responsibly
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to the Workshop Manager
