About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, performance tracking, cost control, and profitability analysis across manufacturing operations as well as sales and distribution functions. The successful candidate will provide accurate, timely financial insights to support decision-making, drive efficiency, and enable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate daily accounting and monitor expenses against budgets.
- Partner with business units to provide financial insights and resolve queries.
- Develop forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual) and support planning cycles in collaboration with various departments.
- Analyse revenue across regions and products, identify trends, and support the sales team with actionable insights.
- Analyse pricing strategies, monitor margins, and recommend adjustments to optimise profitability.
- Analyse logistics and distribution costs, assess cost-to-serve, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Evaluate profitability across customers and products, identify underperformance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Calculate and validate commissions, monitor budgets, and align commission structures with business objectives.
- Prepare management reports, conduct variance analysis, track KPIs, and recommend performance improvements.
- Build financial models (DCF, ROI, NPV, breakeven) and evaluate capital projects.
- Coordinate the budgeting process, track adherence, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional strategy discussions and provide financial input on key business decisions.
- Create dashboards, analyse large datasets, and automate reporting processes.
- Streamline workflows, improve systems and templates, and increase automation.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards, support audits, and maintain data integrity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, represent the business in meetings, and provide guidance on stakeholder matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, or a related field (NQF 8).
- CIMA qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Accounting or Management Accounting.
- 3–5 years’ experience in commercial business partnering, supporting operational and commercial teams, is advantageous.
