Job Description
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate estimates.
- Calculate quantities, costs, and resources required for civil engineering projects.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain quotations and validate costs.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions.
- Conduct risk assessments and account for potential contingencies in estimates.
- Assist in contract negotiations by providing accurate cost information.
- Maintain a database of historical costs, rates, and supplier information.
- Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers and contracts teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Provide input to project planning and scheduling processes based on cost considerations.
