About the Role

As a Divisional IT Business Analyst at Profile Personnel, you will be responsible for mapping business requirements into IT system specifications, ensuring a smooth transition into new automated processes, and providing input to the IT Strategy in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide users with the tools and skills to effectively operate the systems
• Recommend changes where appropriate
• Ensure users understand how to effectively operate the business applications to perform their tasks effectively
• Ensure users are compliant in their use
• Ensure no illegal software or unlicensed use takes place
• Protect software and data from breaches in security by communicating closely with IT Management
• Ensure technical compliance for all data in line with the POPI Act
• Liaise with Business Units to identify business requirements
• Conduct Business Process Analysis as a core requirement of the role
• Understand the current/existing/manual process is key before recommending or accepting changes
• Compile reports to communicate status of work as required by management from time to time
• Build specifications with users for developers at a level of detail sufficient to ensure quoting is accurate and end product requirements are clear enough to prevent alterations after development begins
• Lead planning, design, implementation, and integration of new systems as well as enhancements to existing applications
• Improve processes and procedures to enhance operational proficiency and reduce costs
• Provide support for the production system
• Analyze application and system issues to diagnose problems including complex problems involving multiple systems
• Project-manage system implementations
• Oversee implementation projects from beginning to end
• Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvements based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
• Examine existing business models and data flows, identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes
• Create logical and innovative solutions, identify feasible controls and architectures, and assess them for business suitability
• Specify system operations, and the way data will be viewed and input by the user
• Always drive improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness clear ROI for PG Bison on all proposed solutions
• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed IT solutions
• Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology

Requirements

• Experience with Business Process Analysis and improvement
• Knowledge of the POPI Act and its implications for data protection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (LLB not required)
• Relevant experience in IT systems analysis and implementation
• Certification in ITIL or similar framework would be an advantage
