About the Role
A leading financial services company is seeking a Junior Credit Analyst to join their team. This role involves preparing comprehensive credit proposals for the Executive Credit Committee, assessing clients’ financial health, and determining whether asset and/or trade finance can be extended.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse financial statements and management accounts to assess applicants and guarantors
- Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and consolidate information
- Analyse VAT returns and book debts
- Research market trends and determine repayment affordability
- Obtain and verify client background information
- Request credit reports and security confirmations
- Create SWOT analyses
- Maintain security and arrears tracking
- Conduct sensitivity analysis for proposals
- Prepare trust review information and identify risks
- Respond to management and committee queries
- Conduct monthly book debt analysis and updates
- Liaise with clients on queries
Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualifications in Finance/Accounting (highest level of competence)
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the Finance/Accounting environment
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of: Credit policies and procedures, Shariah banking principles, Banks’ policies and procedures, Basic knowledge of banks’ products and services, Finance and accounting principles
Qualifications
- Degree or relevant qualifications in Finance/Accounting (highest level of competence)
