Job Description

A well-established and growing property management company based in Ballito is seeking a Junior Finance Clerk to join its growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented junior finance professional with a strong interest in property management and sectional title administration. The successful candidate will assist with financial administration related to Homeowners Associations (HOAs), sectional title schemes, and property portfolios, while gaining exposure to broader finance and property operations. The role requires someone who is analytical, organised, and eager to grow within a finance environment, with the ability to read and understand financial statements and support the day-to-day financial administration of property portfolios. Key Responsibilities Financial Administration Assist with the preparation and processing of financial transactions related to property portfolios Capture and reconcile levy income, expenses, and supplier payments Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting Support the finance team in preparing financial statements and management reports Monitor and track levy accounts and outstanding balances HOA & Property Financial Support Assist with the administration of Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and sectional title schemes Maintain accurate financial records for property portfolios Support budgeting processes and financial tracking for schemes Assist with annual audits and compliance documentation Accounts Support Process invoices and assist with accounts payable and receivable Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain organised financial records and documentation Assist with general finance and administrative duties as required Minimum Requirements Education Matric (Grade 12) Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (advantageous) Experience 1–3 years experience in a finance or accounts role Exposure to property management or sectional title finance is advantageous Basic understanding of financial statements Skills Ability to read and interpret financial statements Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy Good organisational and administrative skills Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Pastel Experience with accounting or property management systems (advantageous) Personal Attributes High attention to detail Strong work ethic and reliability Willingness to learn and develop within the finance field Professional and service-oriented approach when dealing with property stakeholders What the Company Offers Opportunity to grow within a dynamic property management environment Exposure to HOA and property portfolio finance Supportive and collaborative team culture Career development opportunities within finance and property management
