Job Description
Overview:
Our client in the Automotive Logistics sector is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage high-volume weekly wage payrolls and support monthly payroll processes. This role is based at Head Office in Durban and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You will be responsible for the full weekly wage payroll and monthly learner payroll including processing, reconciliations, reporting, compliance, and supporting HR and Finance with related payroll queries. This is a high-pressure role requiring exceptional accuracy, organisation, and the ability to work to very tight timelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Certificate in SAGE300 or similar
- 3 years relevant payroll experience in a similar role and having worked on SAGE300.
Key Responsibilities
Weekly Wage Payroll
- End-to-end wage payroll processing on Sage 300
- Reviewing timesheets, hours (V-Time), leave types, and discrepancies
- Banking detail maintenance, queries, backpay calculations
- Reconciliations: hours, headcount, net pay, cost centres
- Payslip printing and distribution; Netcash uploads
- Weekly payroll reporting and audit-ready filing
Monthly Payroll (incl. Learners)
- Full maintenance and processing of learner monthly payroll
- Headcount, leave, appointments, exits, and related reporting
- Support with monthly payroll reconciliations and queries
Reporting & Compliance
- Overtime, T&A, and weekly/monthly reconciliation files
- MIBCO and medical aid reconciliations
- Support with SARS submissions and statutory requirements
- UIF documents, certificates of service, IRP5s
- Ad-hoc payroll reporting as required
