Job Description:
The incumbent is responsible for the performance and supervision of the powder coating department by planning, organising, controlling, leading and co-ordinating the Powder Coating activities of the organisation. Must ensure that production quotas are met on schedule.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Engineering studies/relevant supervisory qualification
• 3-5 years of experience in the steel fabrication/metal production industry
• Must have powder coating experience
• Technically able to conduct investigations
• Able to service & maintain equipment
• Must have the ability to learn and perform functions on Fabritrak
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision for production in the powder coating department
• Planning & scheduling work
• Ensure efficient use of powder
• Ensure efficient use of the Ovens
• Provide production quantity and quality control in the powder coating section
• Monitor the financial performances of the production department to ensure company goals are met
• Maintain and control the use of machinery in the powder coating section
• Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required
• Ensure implementation and evolution of company policies and procedures
• Comply with all regulatory safety policies and standards as well as ensure that PPE is worn at all times
• Adhere to late coming and Absenteeism policies
• Good housekeeping 5s
