About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our automotive manufacturing team in Durban. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance function within an automotive manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Drive process optimization, PPM improvement, and waste reduction initiatives
- Prepare the business for audits and maintain certification compliance
- Lead, coach, and develop the QA team to achieve performance targets
Requirements
- BSc Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- Minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance within automotive manufacturing
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
