About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team at Tower Group in Durban, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality aspects of our products and ensuring they conform to approved standards and specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role in our Quality Assurance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all quality aspects and ensure all products conforms to the applicable approved standards and specifications.
• Championing the implementation and monitoring of ITAF and making recommendations.
• Investigating and resolving Quality Non-conformances.
• Investigating and resolving customer quality complaints.
• Monitoring and addressing 4M Changes (Man, M/C, Method and Material) with all relevant parties.
• Analyzing all defects and taking the necessary remedial action.
• Analyzing data to identify areas of improvement in the Production process.
• Conducting process and system audits and resolving findings/discrepancies.
• Acting as a customer representative and customer support contact.
• Actively participating in maintaining ISO certification.
• Monthly reporting of quality metrics and updating of various quality documents, including test plans and protocols.
• Overseeing the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that all equipment is calibrated timeously and maintain calibration register/schedule.
• Maintaining customer KPI reporting.
• Monitoring adherence to production requirements.
• Implementing standards, procedures and processes to meet the required quality standards.
• Developing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, customer service and cost savings.
• Conducting quality training.
• Implementation of Health and Safety Standards.
• Supervising employees, coordinating the scheduling of work tasks and ensures adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and related fields
• ISO certification

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and related fields (Preferred)
