Job Summary

The role involves leading a team, driving performance, resolving site-level issues, supporting retailers, and optimising existing business while acting as a key liaison between operations and retail stations. Key Accountabilities: Provide leadership, guidance and line manager supervision to the Sales Managers, Retail support officer. Drive business performance and find new and innovative ways of meeting demands and needs of retailers within your areas. Resolve operational issues timeously at site level and to ensure the retailers deliver against their contractual responsibilities. Contributes to the sales team by meeting deadlines and goals to ensure a resilient business model. To maintain, develop and optimise the existing business. Acts as a liaison between Operations and retail service stations. Direct and empower a team of 4 sales managers to deliver outstanding performance against set performance KPIs Drive and direct the Retail Support Officer to deliver outstanding performance. Develop skills and provide ongoing coaching to the team Develops and maintains strong relationships with retailers and other key stakeholders. Monitor and Report on SHEQ performance: SHEQ: Adherence to the highest health, safety, security, environmental compliance: Safety Audits: Emergency response plans, first aiders/fire fighters trained staff at site level, flammable substance certificate, CCTV installed and operational. Safe Delivery process Submission and verification of Fuel stock reconciliations Incident reporting to be done timeously and captured onto the incident management system. Monitor and Report on Site Visits performance: Site Visits: Team regular (cycle over an 8-week period) on-site meetings with retailers and documented on a site call report. Team regular site visits to improve the relationship with the retailers and monthly agenda to always include discussions to grow the business and SHEQ checks. Meet with potential retailers that are financially sound and experienced to successfully operate a service station according to the set standards. Monitor and Report on performance Management: Performance Management: To re-open temporary closed sites Managing non-performing retailers Responsible for the P&L performance of the network Volumetric targets Execution of Loyalty program Finds new and innovative ways of meeting the demands and needs of customers to boost Retail performance. Have regular catchup sessions with the Sales Managers to ensure objectives will be met. Have regular catchup sessions with Retail Support Officer to ensure objectives will be met and support provided to the Retail team. Monitor and Report on Quality Control performance: Quality Control: Ensure adherence to operational standards. Customer Service Training. Monitor and Report on credit policy compliance: Credit policy compliance: Credit Risk management with retailers Meet and Follow-up with treasury to close out non secured retailers. Monitor and Report on contract Renewals: Contract Renewal: Renewal of contracts/agreements according to the financial criteria. Submission of one pager summary of proposed deal structure for business approval. People Agenda: Allows the team to make their goals by contributing to a team atmosphere. Provide coaching to develop appropriate actions and solutions to address issues at site level and to optimise the business as required. Direct and coach a team to deliver outstanding performance against their set objectives.
