About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics that engage our target audience and drive sales. You will work closely with our marketing team to supply marketing materials, both printed and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn briefs and strategic goals into creative ideas that genuinely connect with the target audience.
- Produce graphic visualisation and mock-ups of products and point-of-sale installations.
- Design product packaging and labels from concept to print-ready artwork.
- Insert translations into product packaging and labels for export markets.
- Design instore point-of-sale items from concept through to the finished product and all intermediate stages.
- Design monthly sales support items like price tickets, trade presenters and catalogues.
- Undertake design of print and promotional materials from concept to production ready artwork.
- Undertake deep-etching and retouching of product images for use in marketing and sales collateral.
- Undertake proofing process of packaging prior to print.
- Manage and keep up to date any in-house image libraries.
- Maintain in-house competitive intelligence and branding.
Requirements
- 3-year National Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent.
- 6 to 7 years experience at an agency or in a corporate design team.
- Track record of successful campaigns.
- Packaging experience is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma in Graphic Design.
