About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a frozen foods or RTE/RTH/party foods production/packing factory, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure efficient operation.
• Identify and resolve equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with the Production team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.

Requirements

• National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation or Trade Tested Millwright/Fitter & Turner/Electrician/Refrigeration Tech.
• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in maintenance/repairs/projects in a frozen foods/RTE/RTH/party foods production/packing factory.
