Job Summary
Our client is seeking a confident, creative, and sales-driven Showroom Consultant to join their dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a flair for interior dcor, a keen eye for current trends, and the ability to confidently assist both retail and trade walk-in clients. If you’re customer-centric, proactive, and passionate about textiles and interior solutions, wed love to hear from you.
Main Purpose of the Job
To promote and sell premium textile and dcor solutions including fabric, wallpaper, and interior collections to showroom visitors. This role includes maintaining showroom standards, driving sales performance, upselling products, and providing a world-class customer experience aligned with the brand image.
Duties & Responsibilities

Meet and exceed showroom sales targets
-
Promote and upsell a wide range of textile and dcor products
-
Provide expert advice on fabric designs, content, wallpaper, and trends
-
Deliver tailored interior solutions to both retail and trade clients
-
Maintain showroom displays and presentation standards
-
Build strong relationships with walk-in clients and support internal/external sales teams

Conduct stock takes and handle general showroom administration
-
Assist with training where required

Maintain a solution-driven, pleasant and professional customer experience
Desired Experience & Qualification

National Senior Certificate (Matric) essential

Tertiary qualification in interior design, textiles, or a related field advantageous

Minimum 3 years sales experience in retail or wholesale environments

Knowledge of fabrics, textile content, wallpaper and interior dcor trends

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Target-driven and self-motivated

Business development mindset

Strong admin and organisational abilities

Own reliable transport is essential
