About the Role

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring production targets and operational deadlines are met while maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership and people management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all on-site operations within the manufacturing environment
Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily activities of site staff
Ensure production targets and operational deadlines are met
Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
Capture, verify, and process payroll information accurately (timesheets, overtime, leave records, etc.)
Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll submissions and queries
Enforce discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective communication with staff
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct performance feedback sessions
Handle employee grievances and escalate matters where necessary
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
Properly use and control company equipment and resources

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Relevant qualification in Production, Operations Management, or Supervisory Management (Advantageous)

Qualifications

Minimum 35 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Proven experience in supervising staff on-site
Experience handling payroll processes and timesheet management
