About the Role

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring production targets and operational deadlines are met while maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership and people management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site operations within the manufacturing environment
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily activities of site staff
  • Ensure production targets and operational deadlines are met
  • Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
  • Capture, verify, and process payroll information accurately (timesheets, overtime, leave records, etc.)
  • Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll submissions and queries
  • Enforce discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective communication with staff
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
  • Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct performance feedback sessions
  • Handle employee grievances and escalate matters where necessary
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
  • Properly use and control company equipment and resources

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant qualification in Production, Operations Management, or Supervisory Management (Advantageous)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 35 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Proven experience in supervising staff on-site
  • Experience handling payroll processes and timesheet management
