About the Role

This opportunity sits within a structured, professionally run organisation that values accuracy, governance, and financial discipline. The successful candidate will support the finance function across multiple critical areas, including treasury operations, statutory compliance, audit processes, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management and banking activities
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and working capital reports
  • Assist with the administration of banking facilities, guarantees, letters of credit, and loan schedules
  • Support covenant calculations, treasury reporting, and Board packs
  • Assist with banking administration, payment controls, and user access management
  • Assist with the collation of monthly group financial information
  • Perform validity and completeness checks on financial data
  • Support monthly management reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting for management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Support income tax compliance, including provisional tax calculations
  • Maintain quarterly tax schedules and reporting packs
  • Prepare and reconcile EMP201 returns and assist with EMP501 submissions
  • Assist with statutory submissions and tax directives
  • Prepare supporting schedules for tax audits and year-end processes
  • Maintain audit schedules and supporting documentation
  • Assist with divisional and group external audit processes
  • Attend audit and tax meetings, including minute taking and follow-ups
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements (IFRS for SMEs)
  • Prepare and post payroll journals
  • Assist with payroll and third-party reconciliations
  • Support compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL, and payroll statutory requirements

Requirements

  • Relevant finance qualification (BCom / BCom Accounting / similar)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a finance, accounting, or audit support role
  • Exposure to treasury, tax compliance, audit support, and reporting
  • Experience within a group or multi-entity environment advantageous
