About the Role
The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Tester plays a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, ensuring that the final product meets both the business requirements and the end-users’ needs before it is released to the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to understand the business requirements and objectives of the software.
- Develop and execute detailed UAT test plans and test cases based on the business requirements.
- Document test results, report bugs and errors to the development team, and follow through on resolutions.
- Work closely with business analysts and project managers to ensure that all scenarios are tested and that the software meets business needs.
- Provide feedback to the development team on usability and functionality issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on UAT progress and outcomes.
- Assist in the creation of user manuals and training materials for end-users.
- Ensure that all UAT practices adhere to the company’s quality standards and guidelines.
- Stay updated on new testing tools and test strategies to improve the UAT process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in UAT testing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in test management software (Sirion) and SQL.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this position. However, ISTQB Certification (Foundation Level or higher) is preferred.
