About the Role
As a Junior Photocopier & Printer Field Technician at Office Automation Company, you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services to our clients’ photocopiers and printers. You will work closely with clients to identify and resolve issues with their machines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair photocopiers and printers at client premises
- Strip, clean, service, and reassemble machines in line with manufacturer specifications
- Identify and replace faulty components such as toners, drums, rollers, transfer belts, and maintenance kits
- Perform fault finding on print quality issues including lines, smudging, fading, and paper jams
- Install and commission new and refurbished copiers and multifunction printers
- Configure printers on client networks, including IP setup, scan-to-email, and scan-to-folder functions
- Provide basic user guidance on correct machine operation and preventative care
- Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and parts usage documentation
- Identify recurring faults or end-of-life equipment and report findings to management
Requirements
- Proven previous experience in the photocopier and printer field is compulsory, including:
• Stripping, servicing, and repairing photocopiers and printers
• Fault finding and in-field repairs
• Installation and configuration of photocopiers and multifunction printers on client networks
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
- Computer proficient and comfortable working in a Windows environment
