About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team in Potchefstroom. As a key member of our design and engineering department, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and models of food processing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and hygiene requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of food processing equipment
• Interpret and develop designs based on client specifications and engineering requirements
• Prepare fabrication drawings for manufacturing and production teams
• Ensure all designs comply with food industry standards and hygiene requirements
• Work closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers
• Maintain and update drawing records and documentation

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Draughting / Engineering (or similar)
• 35 years experience as a Mechanical Draftsman
• Experience in the food or FMCG industry is advantageous
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)

• Good technical understanding of mechanical design and fabrication processes
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
