Accountant / Bookkeeper required for a reputable firm based in East London

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience within an Accounting Firm environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Sage and Pastel Accounting software / Caseware

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping up to trial balance

• Experience with SARS verifications, audits, and statutory submissions (IRP5s, EMP201)

• Competent in preparing bi-monthly and quarterly financial and management accounts

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers

• Prepare trial balance and assist with monthly reconciliations

• Manage payroll-related submissions and statutory returns

• Support with financial reporting, management accounts, and audit preparations

• Liaise with clients and SARS where required
